Northumbria University has worked with many clients through their award winning Business Clinic, and are pleased to share the details of the free support that they can offer to local VCSE organisations.
The Business Clinic at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, is an education scheme whereby a group of final year undergraduate and postgraduate business students form a ‘consultancy firm’ to provide free advice for clients.
With support and guidance from a team of industry experts at Newcastle Business School, the students analyse the problem they are presented with, consider possible solutions and provide a detailed report with fully justified recommendations and make a presentation of their recommendations to their client.
The Business Clinic’s consultancy services are available to all types of businesses from multinationals, SMEs, Social Enterprises, charities through to not-for-profit organisations. The aim is for a win-win situation for students and clients. The additional resource and fresh thinking provides the client with access to up to date research and sound recommendations they can take forward.
Since 2013, the Business Clinic has supported some 600 businesses with an estimated value (client estimation) of £3.3 million.
